Erectile Dysfunction Management for the Future

The field of erectile dysfunction (ED) management over time has witnessed assorted interventions to enable the male to perform sexual intercourse. In recent times, major progress in ED research has led to increasingly effective treatments based on a refined knowledge of the scientific basis for penile erection. Current concepts suggest that therapeutic prospects on the horizon include novel pharmacotherapies, growth factor therapy, gene therapy and regenerative medicine. The purpose of this review is to present the foundations for future therapies in ED management.
