Supplemental Figure 1: The diagram of sperm structures and accessory structures. After treatment with 1% S-EDTA and homogenization, the sperm flagellum was reduced to the
mitochondrial sheath, fibrous sheath, and outer dense fibers.
Supplemental Figure 2: The nucleotide sequences of 5' PCR and 3'-RACE products overlapped by 418 bp. The merging of the PCR and 3'-RACE products was performed using Sequencher 4.5.
Supplemental Figure 3: The coiled-coil analysis of mouse TEKT5 amino acid sequence using SMART. Coiled-coil regions (green, 345-386) were determined by the Coils2 program (Lupas, 1996), whereas, segments of low compositional complexity (pink, 515-540) were determined by the SEG program (Wootton and Federhen, 1996). Intron positions are indicated with vertical lines showing the intron phase and exact positions in the amino acid sequence.
