  aThe {chi}2 and the respective P values for the V89L polymorphism were calculated for PC cases vs control and for BPH cases vs controls separately. For this purpose, the 3 genotypes at this site were classified into 2 groups for both the cases and the controls: high activity (Val/Val) and low activity (Val/Leu and Leu/Leu).
