Figure 3. Transactivation assay. Transactivation assay was done to check the activity of the ligand-receptor complex in the wild-type and mutant receptors. The activity of the luciferase enzyme expressed under the control of ligand–androgen receptor complex responsive promoter was measured as a function of transactivation. The assay showed negligible transactivation in the mutant receptor in comparison with the wild-type receptor.
